1 Β· Getting started
SignManager tracks every campaign yard sign: who placed it, where it is, whether it's still standing, and how to get it back after the election. Volunteers use their phones; you run everything from a laptop or tablet.
- Get an account: use "Request an account" on the sign-in page (or see pricing). You'll receive your login email and password.
- Sign in at signmanager.tgoenterprises.com. Always use the https:// address; phone GPS only works over a secure connection.
- Your console shows only your campaign. Volunteers never need accounts or passwords. They get a link (next section).
π± On a phone or tablet you can install SignManager like an app: open the site, then "Add to Home Screen."

2 Β· Set up your campaign (10 minutes)
- π₯ Volunteer roster: add your volunteers' names. On the shared link each person picks their name from this list, so every sign is tagged to the right person with no spelling mix-ups.
- π Volunteer links: create ONE shared link (e.g. "Main crew") and text it to everyone, or make one link per person if you want stricter tracking. No passwords, nothing to install.
- π Sign types & inventory: add your sizes (yard, 4Γ8β¦) and set "own" to how many you physically have. SignManager then tracks what's out, what's missing, and what's left in hand. Picked-up signs return to stock automatically.
- β Preferred spots: click the map to mark where you want signs. Volunteers are guided to them, nearest first.
- π« Permit & no-sign zones: mark areas where signs aren't allowed (state highway right-of-ways, city bans) or need a permit. They appear on every volunteer's map, and anyone about to drop a sign inside one gets a warning first.

3 Β· Placing signs from your phone
- Open the link your coordinator sent and allow location when asked. Pick your name from the list.
- Stand where the sign is going and tap π Drop sign here. Set how many signs, tap the sign type, optionally snap a photo or add a note ("SE corner, by the fence"). Done. It's on the campaign map instantly.
- See a β star on your map? That's a spot the campaign wants a sign, and the app shows your nearest one with a π§ Navigate button.
- Inside a red dashed circle? Signs aren't allowed there, and the app will warn you before you drop one. Amber circle = permit required; check with your coordinator.
- Driving around and spot trouble? Tap any sign pin and mark it missing or damaged, with an optional note. The campaign sees it immediately.
π΄ No signal? Keep working. Drops are saved on your phone and upload automatically when you're back in coverage.

4 Β· During the campaign
- The live map: green pins are signs out; grey are picked up. Every pin shows who placed it, when, the photo, and notes.
- π΄ Pulsing red pins = reported missing; amber = damaged. They also appear in the π§ Maintenance panel, where you can assign the fix to a volunteer ("Sasquatch, replace the 112th St sign") and mark it β Done when handled.
- π Leaderboard: who's placing the most signs and catching the most problems. Volunteers love seeing their name climb.
- π Inventory: watch "in hand" shrink as signs go out; the missing column shows shrinkage you may need to reorder for.
- β CSV: export the full sign list any time.

5 Β· Election day & pickup
Cities fine campaigns that leave signs up. SignManager makes pickup a route, not a scavenger hunt.
- After the election, switch π£ Campaign phase to Pickup. Every volunteer's app flips to pickup mode automatically.
- Picking up with several people? Use βοΈ Split to carve the remaining signs into geographic zones, and each volunteer picks their zone and gets their own numbered route.
- Volunteers see stop 1, 2, 3β¦ with π§ Navigate buttons, and tap Picked up at each sign. Grabbed one by mistake? "Put back out" undoes it.
- Watch the map drain to grey. Picked-up signs return to your inventory's "in hand" count, ready for next time.

6 Β· Election history, snapshots & your data
- πΈ Take a snapshot (in ποΈ Election history) right before pickup starts. It freezes your entire deployment map for the record: every location, count, type, and who placed it.
- πΊοΈ View any snapshot as purple pins over today's map.
- β Use as template: running again? One tap turns a past election's map into this election's suggested spots. Your general-election redeploy is your primary map.
- β Archive / β CSV: download your records any time. The archive file can be re-imported later, even after the map is cleared. Your data is always yours.
- π New election: archives everything as a snapshot, then clears the live map for the next race. Crew links, roster, sign types, and β spots are kept.
β οΈ "New election" clears the live map (after archiving). It can't be un-cleared; the snapshot keeps your history.
